89 acres of varied habitat - woodland, alfalfa field, wetlands, vernal pools and Tunkamoes Creek - creates niches for a great variety of plant and animal species. In addition to protecting the Wallkill watershed and the biologically diverse habitats, this preserve will provide wonderful access to nature in the fast-developing western part of our county. The parking facilities will be completed this summer and Land Trust volunteers will work to create trails throughout the woodland.
