89 acres of varied habitat - woodland, alfalfa field, wetlands, vernal pools and Tunkamoes Creek - creates niches for a great variety of plant and animal species. In addition to protecting the Wallkill watershed and the biologically diverse habitats, this preserve will provide wonderful access to nature in the fast-developing western part of our county. The parking facilities will be completed this summer and Land Trust volunteers will work to create trails throughout the woodland.

Directions: From Route 6 turn onto 284. After about 1.7 miles make a left onto County Rt. 93 Lime Kiln Rd. Take the third right onto Gardnerville Rd, and bear right onto County Rd. 62. Make a slight right on Lower Rd. which will turn into William Lain Rd. Turn right onto Laurel Hill Drive . The preserve is accessible by a right-of-way between the houses on the first cul-de-sac on the left. You may park on the road being careful not to block driveway access. For GPS use 194-234 William Lain Road, Westtown, NY 10998.
