Bud Breheney has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Orange County Land Trust.
Bud is an accomplished media sales and business development executive with over 25 years of experience. Currently, Bud is President of Breheney Media, a consulting firm that provides tactical and strategic consulting services to media sellers, media buyers and technology companies engaged with television data and applications.
Prior to his return to private consulting, Bud was Chief Commercial Officer at Kantar Media Audiences; before becoming Senior Vice President, National Television, at Rentrak Corporation. In this capacity, Bud led client facing functions for WPP’s television audience measurement division in the United States, and created and managed sales, client service, and business development efforts. He also oversaw the transition of key clients and data partners from Kantar Media to Rentrak. Bud’s experience also includes management stints at the then newly-launched Food Network and HGTV, as well as other new media organizations.

Bud taught Advertising, Argumentation and Persuasion, and Mass Media Communications classes as an instructor at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY.
Bud earned a bachelor’s degree in History from St. Francis University in Loretto, PA and a master’s degree in Media Management and Communications from Emerson College in Boston, MA.
“As a media and advertising professional with nearly 3 decades of expertise, Bud will play an important role in analyzing and revamping aspects of our marketing plans and strategies” stated Board President Arlene Nolan. “As we look toward the future, his guidance will help fortify our organization’s foundation and better prepare us for continued success down the road.”
Bud said, “Land conservation is a critical component to the quality of life we enjoy in Orange County and the Hudson Valley.” He added, “I look forward to adding my media and business development skills to advance the Land Trust’s mission.”
Bud lives in the Town of Newburgh with his wife, Mary. He enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and playing golf. Bud is also a member of the Beacon Sloop Club and crews on the Woody Guthrie.
