A Tribute to Gretchen Gibbs

A handcrafted bench, created by Wickham Solid Wood Studio, was installed at Fuller Mountain Preserve to honor the memory of the late Gretchen Gibbs of Warwick, NY. The bench was placed in a special location meant to offer visitors with a place for contemplation amidst the preserve’s rugged, natural beauty.

As a clinical psychologist, writer, and Professor Emeritus at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Gretchen dedicated her life’s work toward advancing mental health and education.

Gretchen was also a supporter of Orange Environment and local conservation issues in the Village of Warwick. Most notably, it was Gretchen’s planned gift to the Orange County Land Trust that has made the greatest impact toward the protection of Orange County’s natural and agricultural resources.

Through her generous gift by will, her legacy will continue to live on through the land for the benefit of generations to come, and for that we are forever grateful to Gretchen.
