Our founder Lou Mills, along with several active community members and conservation leaders in the County, set out to establish the Orange County Land Trust to help set a permanent foundation for a sustainable and vibrant Orange County. These visionary leaders understood the growing need for an organization like OCLT to take proactive measures and protect critical acreage to help offset the impacts of rapid development and maintain vital balance.
This page pays tribute to our founding and past board members for whom we owe our achievements and whose commitment to our mission has made a lasting, perpetual impact. We are forever grateful for their contributions.
Today, and long into the future, we will continue to do what our founders set out to accomplish back in 1993 to ensure that agriculture and nature continue to thrive alongside our communities.
