Stephen R. Hunter, Jr. of Newburgh, NY has been appointed to the Orange County Land Trust’s board of directors.
Stephen is a proud long-time resident of Orange County. He grew up in Blooming Grove and is a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School.
Currently, Stephen is a Vice President of Human Resources at Paramount, f.k.a. ViacomCBS, where he serves as an H.R. Business Partner.
Prior to his current role at Paramount, Stephen served as the Vice President of Global Human Resources for John Hardy and has also held human resources positions with several other companies, including Christian Dior and Ralph Lauren.
Stephen earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management and a master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.
Before joining OCLT’s board of directors, Stephen was a member of their Next Generation Engagement Committee, and Development Committee.
“Farmland preservation is very important to me as a seventh generation Orange County resident with family roots in agriculture,” stated Hunter. “OCLT does incredible work protecting and honoring our farms and greenspace. I look forward to working with board and staff to further their work at this critical time in the county.”

Stephen resides in the Town of Newburgh with his partner, Josh. He enjoys gardening, and spending time outside with his dogs Leo and Morris.
